Introducing: Whimsy + Row Denim

 We are so excited to introduce our newest arrival: eco denim from Whimsy + Row! We first discovered W+R on a buying trip to Los Angeles in 2019 and were elated when we discovered that they would be debuting their very first denim line. Whimsy + Row’s conscious approach to denim includes low impact washes and dyes, meaning that no hand sanding, whiskering, or distressing was added to the denim, thus reducing the use of labor, water, and chemicals. They also opted for the use of recycled water in production — even the metal used for the zipper and the labels are made from recycled materials!

These carbon neutral jeans are made ethically in China at a factory named ‘Shandong Lanyan Jeanswear’ that keeps all aspects of the denim creation process in house. This means that they produce both the fabric and the garments themselves under one roof. Fair wages and benefits are offered to factory employees, including retirement plans, medical plans, and other forms of insurance. To make sure that the work environment is as safe as possible during this pandemic, the factory performs sanitization procedures two times a day, any person who enters the facility must have their body temperature monitored, and employees are given two surgical grade masks everyday.
